What browser storage does
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage is another way a site can keep information on your device. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) apply to storing or accessing information on your device, not just cookies.
Necessary storage used by this site
- Sign-in session local storage: our account service stores authentication tokens so you can stay signed in and access your account. Signing out clears the stored session. This is necessary for the account service you request.
- Purchase access local storage: after a successful checkout, the site keeps a payment reference, purchase tier, product name and time to remember the unlocked purchase in that browser. It is functional access storage, not a marketing identifier. It has no automatic expiry in the site code and remains until removed from your browser.
- Stripe checkout: paying opens Stripe's embedded payment service. Stripe may use cookies and browser storage to operate checkout, secure payments and prevent fraud. Stripe controls the exact names and lifetimes. See Stripe's cookie policy for details.
We use strictly necessary storage to provide the sign-in and payment services you request. It does not need consent under PECR when it is strictly necessary for that service.
Usage counts and non-essential cookies
Our first-party page view and download logging sets no cookies, local storage identifiers or session storage identifiers for tracking. Page views store only the page path and time. Download events may include your account identifier if you are signed in, but do not set a browser identifier.
The site does not currently set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. Non-essential storage would only run with your consent. We would explain it here and provide a choice before introducing it.
Your choices
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may stop sign-in or payment features from working. You can sign out to remove your sign-in session.
